FinTech companies continue to attract venture capital investments
Following the rise in popularity of online
payment methods, a consultancy firm revealed that FinTech (financial technology) startups have managed to attract an
impressive number of venture capitals in the 2010-2017 time period. Setting a
record of $27 445 000 000, these companies have accumulated nearly $100 billion
in terms of investments in the past years. The majority of enterprises
offer services within the digital settlement
and online lending sectors. Expert analysis and reports suggest that this peak
was achieved due to an increase in deal value in the UK,
India and the US.
